Dance Fit Classes

These instructor-led classes blend cardio and strength exercises with dance-inspired movements for an enjoyable and effective full-body workout. Examples of dance fit classes include Aerobics and Zumba®. ≫ MORE

Aerobics

Aerobics gets your blood pumping and large muscle groups working via structured, rhythmic, and motivating routines (e.g., Tabata, dance). Aerobics exercise is designed to help you improve your cardiovascular fitness so that you can move through life with more endurance and energy. Options are provided to self-adjust the exercises for your fitness level.

INTENSITY-LEVEL: Moderate. Elevates the heart rate and demands a noticeable yet manageable effort. Quickens breathing but typically allows conversation. May spark a light-to-moderate sweat within 10-15 minutes.

DURATION: Typically 45 – 60 minutes of movement (e.g., standing, walking, dancing, reaching, …) calling for moderate flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance.

Zumba®

Zumba® is a cardio dance fitness workout inspired and informed by Latin rhythms (e.g, salsa, merengue, cumbia). Each workout involves highly choreographed movements set to upbeat music. Zumba® is a fun, energetic dance fitness class that keeps your heart active, your body healthy, and your mind engaged.
