Walk & Tone

Walk & Tone is a fun, moderate-intensity walking workout set to fast-paced oldies music. Coupled with 15 minutes of strength and balance work, this walking routine is designed to get your feet moving and your heart pumping. Strength and balance routines are designed to improve muscle tone and stability.

INTENSITY-LEVEL: Moderate. Elevates the heart rate and demands a noticeable yet manageable effort. Quickens breathing but typically allows conversation. May spark a light-to-moderate sweat within 10-15 minutes.

DURATION: Typically 45 – 60 minutes of movement (e.g., standing, walking, dancing, reaching, …) calling for moderate flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance.

AT YOUR OWN RISK: By registering and/or participating in this class, you accept full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damage, known or unknown, that you might incur due to participation.  If you do not want to accept full responsibility, do not register or participate.

Walk w/ Ease

The Arthritis Foundation’s Walk with Ease is a six-week evidence-based program that combines self-paced walks with discussions about health-related topics under the guidance of certified walking leaders. Program participants learn how to safely make physical activity part of their everyday life. The program includes a guidebook and a walking schedule to get you safely moving toward better health.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Walk With Ease was specifically developed for adults with arthritis who want to be more physically active. The program is also appropriate for people without arthritis, particularly those with diabetes, heart disease and other chronic conditions, who want to get more active. The only pre-requisite is the ability to be on your feet for at least 10 minutes without increased pain.

AT YOUR OWN RISK: By registering and/or participating in this class, you accept full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damage, known or unknown, that you might incur due to participation.  If you do not want to accept full responsibility, do not register or participate.
